I came across your work almost a year ago, a few months after “discovering” BTS in an article online in The Atlantic magazine: “How BTS did it” (July 9, 2023). I had been watching Korean dramas for several months and had gotten used to the sounds of Korean. I don’t remember what the song was, but you had broken down the grammar in the same way as you did in this video and had color-coded both languages by parts of speech. At that point, I realized, having seen how often subtitles in Spanish weren’t accurate, that the only way to truly understand BTS lyrics was to learn Korean. I used your excellent pronunciation videos and, after studying on my own for a few months, placed into second semester Korean last year at the University of Minnesota. I am 66, a widow, and have found my “encore life”. The music of BTS makes me happy and so does studying Korean. Your video was instrumental in this process. Thank you again.

Wowsers, you make it sound soo easy, I had another easy lyric first, but will stick with you as you play the english - which is part of the song- too. Imho very important. Love the way you recorded it, first songphrase the whole sentence, and not in bits like the one I used first ( i got lost, honest, because of the small bits, could not connect it to where in the song it was, even though she played said bit) You play the whole sentence, then say it slowly, and play it again. Gamsahamnida You make practice much more fun :D I purlple you 💜

Thank you for the detailed explanation!! I’m so tired of other RUclipsrs explaining ㄹ but all they do is say “it’s not R or L” or use the same examples over and over and over again (라디오, 라면 😑) and refuse to go more in depth. I struggle with ㄹ려 especially so I’m glad you did a part on 올려.

Where are other consonants?
